Orbs provides trading infrastructure for onchain finance, bringing aggregated liquidity, advanced spot orders and perpetual futures to venues, institutions and agents. Its Layer 3 network powers dSPOT, dPERPS and Execution Services alongside existing blockchains.

Orbs provides an additional execution layer alongside existing Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks. It runs application logic and services beyond what a smart contract can handle on its own, without requiring liquidity to move to a new chain.

Orbs has three products: dSPOT for spot execution, dPERPS for perpetual futures infrastructure, and Execution Services for running application logic on the decentralised Orbs network.

dSPOT combines aggregated liquidity with advanced spot order types, including limit, TWAP, stop loss and take profit. Features available to users depend on the venue and integration.

TWAP splits a larger order into smaller trades over time to help reduce price impact. Execution depends on market conditions and available liquidity.

dPERPS is Orbs’ perpetual futures infrastructure for venues and developers. It brings together the components needed to offer perpetual trading under a venue’s own brand.

dSPOT orders are signed from your wallet, and funds remain there until execution. dPERPS uses a self-custodial smart-contract trading model with collateral handled by the relevant contracts. The funding flow differs by product, so check the documentation for your integration.

Lambda runs event-driven JavaScript functions. VM runs persistent services packaged as Docker containers. Both let developers extend onchain applications with decentralised execution on Orbs.

Guardians operate the network’s validator nodes. ORBS is the network’s native token and supports its proof-of-stake system. Token holders can delegate stake to Guardians; the staking documentation explains participation and rewards.

The project has been live since 2017, and mainnet has been live since 2019.
